Rome, Italy -- Land o' many scooters. Ali, who runs the desk of Hostel Lella, gave us a bottle of white wine to celebrate Monica's birthday. We drank some late while talking with some young U.S. guys and a gal who like to surf: "When you start, get the the big styrofoam board."
An Italian guy hanging around the desk of Lella recommended a couple of restuarants and a bar made of ice, where "it's minus five and they hand out gloves and coats." Grazie dude, but I think I'll pass on the Taverna Frostini.
