Surf the N.Z. Way...

Julie, Monica and I went to take some surf lessons from a guy named Tim, who runs a company called Isobar Surf School  in Taupo Bay on the north island of New Zealand.

 What a beautiful beach.

There are gentle waves - good for beginners, and beautiful big cliffs on one side of the beach.

You walk from Tim's house down to the beach in your wetsuit, carrying your boards and hop in the waves.
